IT’S YOU – Intercultural Tools and Social media for YOUth in action: 3rd Project Meeting in Patras, Greece at Cyclisis!
On November 8th – 10th 2021, Fundación Docete Omnes hosted in Granada, Spain the 2nd project meeting of It’s You Project. Seven organizations coming from Italy, Spain, Greece, Portugal and Slovenia attended the meeting: Aretes (IT), Dedalus (IT), Marak Digital Marketing (ES), Fundación Docete Omnes (ES), Cyclisis (EL), Edit Value (PT), and DRPDNM (SI).
Industry stakeholders say that a greater emphasis on digital education will be crucial to closing both the skills and gender gap in the digital sector, calling for more attention to boost capacity.
On the International Day of Education – January 24, the European Commission and High Representative/Vice-President Josep Borrell issued a statement, recalling the importance of education as a fundamental right and foundation of resilient, peaceful, and sustainable societies.
Why is multilingualism important?
The EU’s motto ‘united in diversity’ symbolises the essential contribution that linguistic diversity and language learning make to the European project.
According to a special Eurobarometer survey conducted in September and October 2021, an overwhelming majority of EU citizens think that the Internet and digital tools will play an important role in the future. Moreover, a large majority finds it useful for the European Union to define and promote European rights and principles to ensure a successful digital transformation.

This past 14th-16th of October, the National Erasmus+ Agencies organized the 5th edition of #ErasmusDays. The #ErasmusDays gave three dedicated days to learn about the Erasmus+ Programme and talk with the programme’s alumni.
It’s You Project participated in this event with the #ItsYouCompetenceChallenge.
The European Commission’s Eurydice network has published a report on ‘Adult Education and Training in Europe: Building inclusive pathways to skills and qualifications’. The report examines current approaches to promoting lifelong learning, with a particular focus on policies and measures supporting the access of adults with low levels of skills and qualifications, to learning opportunities. It looks at 42 education and training systems across 37 European countries.
The Executive Board of the Conference on the Future of Europe is launching the multilingual digital platform for the Conference on the Future of Europe inviting all EU citizens to contribute to shaping their own future. The platform is available in 24 languages, allowing citizens from across the Union to share & exchange their ideas & views through online events.
Interculturalism is about understanding that well-managed diversity and positive interaction between different cultures can be an advantage. It moves beyond simply accepting different cultures and celebrates both the differences and similarities between them as something that can make communities stronger.
