IT'S YOU Net (IO1)

IT’S YOU Net is a European social network for the exchange of experiences, ideas, and reflections on intercultural citizenship issues. Its structure is composed of two areas one dedicated to Youth Workers (professionals and/or volunteers) working in the field of citizenship and interculturality and wishing to activate an active confrontation and exchange of good practices on intercultural citizenship issues with other European operators; the second area is dedicated to the young people targeted by the project and promotes the exchange of experiences and good practices among young Europeans engaged in implementing and/or disseminating intercultural citizenship practices.

The competence areas that are being considered for development/enhancement/  qualification in the target groups are as follows:

  • Multilingual competence meaning as linguistic and cultural inter-comprehension
  • Digital competence
  • Citizenship competence, i.e. the ability to act as responsible citizens and to participate fully in civic
  • Competence in cultural awareness and expression, which involves understanding and respecting how ideas and meanings are creatively expressed and communicated in different cultures and through a range of arts and other cultural forms.

The Youth Workers area is a free social networking web service mainly used to develop professional contacts between practitioners working in the field of citizenship and interculturalism. In this space YWs can:

  • Post photos and stories of their work experiences, either done or in progress. The publication can be followed by a communication/conversation with other YWs;
  • Chat with other youth workers (individually or in groups) through the platform’s online messaging system;
  • Create thematic discussion groups (whoever creates the group becomes the moderator);
  • Make proposals for future collaborations (notice board).

The area for Young People targeted by the project is a free social networking web service where young people create their own profile with some personal information including a description of their main activities of interest related to the topic of intercultural citizenship. In this space young people can:

  • Post photos and stories of their experiences related to the themes of intercultural citizenship;
  • Chat with other young people (individually or in groups);
  • Create thematic discussion groups (whoever creates the group becomes the moderator);
  • Post proposals for shared actions inspired by the themes of intercultural citizenship (notice board).

On your profile page, on the right-hand side click on your profile picture to display the drop-down menu. Click on Account Settings.

Update Notifications Settings, request an export of your personal data, Delete your Account, and manage your Account Privacy.

Go to the Groups Menu and click on “Create A Group”. Follow the steps. 

Go to the Group page and then click on the tab “Manage”. Upload the Group avatar from the sub-tab “Photo”. Upload the group cover from the sub-tab “Cover Images”.
